Galway made it three wins on the bounce and kept their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship destiny in their own hands with an emphatic victory over 14-man Antrim in the searing heat in Salthill. The game's direction of travel was already well established when Antrim defender Declan McCloskey was dismissed on a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident with Tom Monaghan late in the opening half. Galway were out to a 2-12 to 0-8 lead by then despite facing the wind with Brian Concannon and Anthony Burns netting their goals. Final Score Galway 6-27 Antrim 1-14

Galway back on track for Leinster Final place
Cathal Mannion, with 17 points, proved the inspiration for Galway to defeat Wexford in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Round 3 clash at Pearse Stadium. The winners got their Leinster hopes back on track with a much improved performance. With Antrim coming to Salthill next Saturday Galway should set up a showdown with Dublin at Parnell Park for a place in the Leinster Final. Final Score: Galway 1-29 Wexford 2-16
Galway put Offaly to the sword in the second half
Galway Hurlers put their Leinster championship campaign back on course with a comprehensive win over Offaly, achieved largely on the back of an outstanding performance from Cathal Mannion. Colm Molloy’s introduction for his championship debut was a late change and the diminutive corner-forward wasted no time in making his mark, firing over three points in the first 10 minutes. Up next Wexford at Pearse Stadium. Final Score: Galway 2-25 Offaly 1-14
