2025 010602 Best of luck to new Athenry resident and former Galway Hurler Tony Regan with his new book ‘Most Valuable Player’. Tony Og won an All-Ireland Minor Medal with Galway in 2000 and played in All-Ireland Senior Finals in 2005 and 2012. In his book he sets out how to lead and succeed as the most valuable for a player in work, sport and life.

It took extra time in a replay to decide the winners but Athenry prevailed against great rivals Turloughmore winning by 2-13 to 2-10.
