A good start and an early Cian Hannon goal gave Galway opponents Kilkenny plenty of problems but a combination of poor free taking and goalkeeping errors proved costly. To add to Galway’s problems their defensive set up, with the wind in the second half, allowed their opponents too much space and time. Final Score: Kilkenny 4-11 Galway 1-8

The Club's Under 20 Hurling Team had a narrow away one point win over Carnmore on Wednesday evening. Final Score: Athenry 1-20 Carnmore 1-19
Junior B Hurling Team into League Final
The Club's Junior B team are through to the League Final following 1-21 to 1-14 victory over Moycullen in the Semi-Final.
Galway Minor Hurling Team into Leinster Final
Galway Minor Hurlers secured a Leinster Final place when they recorded their second victory over Wexford at sunny Portlaoise. The winners included the Club's Aodhain McDonagh, Shay Brady and Cian Hannon and were in control throughout winning by 2-20 to 0-19
