Thanks to Club volunteer Patrick Higgins, of ploughing championship fame, who takes care of our sand pitch in Carnaun which is used for training by the Club's Juveniles and Adults when grass pitches are unplayable.

No matches or training in the immediate future, but the Club will be ready when we get the go-ahead thanks to Tommy Whelan and our local community employment scheme. The  pitches in Raheen and Carnaun are being kept in prime condition.

2020 Wall
Team captains Tom Flynn (Football) and John Grealish (Hurling) with club vice chairman Emmet Caulfield pictured at the beginning of major development of the club’s facilities at Carnaun, Athenry. The construction of the supporter’s wall with limestone name-plaques marks the commencement of the project, which will include a community walkway, two new playing pitches and an Astro turf. The Club would like to sincerely thank all of our generous patrons who have purchased a plaque to date. We will be returning to our door-to-door fundraising when it is safe to do so. In the meantime anyone looking to purchase a plaque can contact any member of the development committee. The retaining block wall is being built by our local community employment scheme and we thank them for their great work.
