80 In 2012 Carnmore hurling club made a bold move to purchase land and develop three pitchs. The club will be embarking on a major fundraising drive in 2013 to finance the land purchase which is now a fine facility. The club also has a goal to construct a walking track around the pitchs which will be a major benefit to the community. The under age teams at under 6, 8, 10 and 12 enjoyed a very successful year with great numbers attending and winning many trophy’s Carnmore Under 10’s had another remarkable year in 2012 winning an incredible 5 trophies including the CATS Blitz Cup, the St Mary’s Centenary Cup, the Liam Mellowes Michael O’Brien Memorial Cup, and the Autumn League Trophies 1 & 2. This group of players are developing into a fine team. Their skill level, which is improving year after year, and their huge self belief has given them the winning edge this season.
