It is now time for you and your club to start preparing for Scór 2013 and you could now have a chance to be on tv (see below). The Scór na nÓg County Final will be held on the 11 January 2013 in the Community Hall in Abbeyknockmoy. Scór na bPáistí and Scór Sinsear will be held in early 2013 also. Your local GAA Club will have all the details. NEW SCÓR NA NÓG 2013 TV SERIES ON TG4 Coiste Náisiúnta Scór in conjunction with TG4 and Adare Productions have announced that a new television series involving Scór na nÓg competitors is being launched. Competitions: Céilí/Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation/Storytelling, Ballad Group, Question Time, Novelty Act, Set DancingAuditions will be held in 3/4 centres around the country for all County Scór 2012/13 finalists. The series will consist of 13 programmes in total --- 10 shows of 9 competitors, 2 semifinals followed by the final. The aim of the series is to promote our language and culture, highlight/showcase the talent of our young members and to entertain the viewers. 2012 was a great year for Galway in Scór competitions where Galway Clubs won four Connacht scór titles – two Scór na nÓg titles and two Scór Sinsear titles. Baile Chláir, Mainistir Chnoc Muaidhe and Cealtrach were all successful at Connacht level and were unfortunate not to add all Ireland titles to their provincial title. Cealtrach and Mainistir Cnoc Muaidhe won Connacht titles in the Novelty Act and Set Dancing and Baile Chláir and Mainistir Chnoc Muaidhe won Connacht Titles in the Instrumental Music and Set Dancing.
